WOMEN'S COLLEGE BASKETBALL: WAVERLY GRAD TOMASSO HAS CAREER NIGHT IN WIN OVER BROCKPORT (2025-02-09)

Sidney Tomasso, a senior on the St. John Fisher women's basketball team, had a game for the ages Saturday in the Cardinals' 70-67 win at SUNY Brockport in Empire 8 action.
Tomasso netted a career-high 32 points and pulled down a career-high 17 rebounds in the win, while also collecting two assists, one steal, and two blocked shots.
Tomasso was 10-for-21 from the field, including 4-for-10 from behind the 3-point arc, and was 8-9 from the field.
Her 32 point-performance ranks ninth all-time for a single game, and her 17-rebound effort is sixth all-time for a single game.
Tomasso also vaulted from sixth to fourth on the all-time scoring list with 1,541 points. She is also third all-time with an 85.1 shooting percentage from the free-throw line, and fifth all-time with 158 3-pointers.
Tomasso's performance came a scant 24 hours after one of her poorest stat lines of the season.
She was 0-for-13 from the field with four points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals in a 54-41 loss to SUNY Geneseo Friday night.
St. John Fisher, now 17-5, returns to action Friday when it hosts Hartwick College.
