Valley Sports ReportSAYRE — The Waverly boys racked up a pair of wins, including one over Athens in the semifinals, to reach the winner's bracket finals of the annual Epiphany Junior High Basketball Tournament, while the Waverly girls won twice to reach the semifinals.
BOYS — SATURDAY
Athens 59, Notre Dame 45Athens had three players in double-figures in a 59-45 win over Notre Dame.
Eli Wayman led Athens with 15 points, while Kade Rowe scored 13, and Aidan Briggs had 10 points, while Ryan Hicks added eight points, and Hunter Brennan and Liam Sites chipped in with four points apiece.
Rasheed Brown led Notre Dame with 20 points, and Mike Sutryk added 14.
Corning 54, Whitney Point 53Corning: Jay Richards 19 points, Nate Bretch 18, and Easton Stefan 8.
Whitney Point: Tanner Smith 28 points, Evan Abbott 12, and Ronnie Locke 8.
Owego 47, Sayre 24Owego used a balanced attack to post a 47-24 win over Sayre.
Whigham led Owego with 11 points, while Canfield, Mott and Diedrich scored eight points apiece, and Harvey and Belokur chipped in with six apiece.
Jayden Morningstar led Sayre with 10 points, while Brayden Northrup had six, and Riley Johnson added four.
Waverly 58, Addison 48
Braiden Judson led Waverly to a 58-48 win over Addison in the opening round.
Judson pumped in 21 points, while Jack Pipher scored nine points, Drew Croft had eight points, Brody Lambert added seven points, and Axel Murray chipped in with six points.
Keaton Quick led Addison with 16 points, while Bryson Long and Jax Donley added 10 points, and Gabe Strope chipped in with seven.
BOYS — SUNDAY
Waverly 53, Athens 21Braiden Judson led Waverly to a convincing 53-21 win over Athens Sunday in winner's bracket action.
Judson tossed in 17 points, while Bryan Fiske scored 10, Axel Murray had eight points, Jack Pipher added five points, and Cooper Skovira and Sam Cheresnowsky chipped in with four points apiece.
Aidan Briggs led Athens with seven points, and Kade Rowe added five.
Waverly will play the winner of the Corning-Maine Endwell game Friday.

Gianna Soprano and Kezlynn DeKay added seven points apiece in the win, and Paige Bubniak chipped in with three points.
Jenna Morningstar and Lacey Warner led Wyalusing with four points apiece.
Horseheads 37, Athens 16Gianna Hughey led Horseheads with 14 points in a 37-16 win over Athens.
Arabella Robbins led Athens with eight points, and Allie Kemp added six points.
North Penn-Mansfield 43, Sayre 15Maddie McNamara led three scorers in double-figures in NP-Mansfield's 43-15 win over Sayre.
McNamara scored 12 points, while Sophie Route had 11, Addilyn Lehman added 10 points, and Lilly McNamara chipped in with six points in the win.
Reaghan McGaughey led Sayre with nine points, and McKenna Parrish added four points.

Kezlynn DeKay led Waverly with 11 points, while Taylin Gonzalez and Kaylin Twedt scored five points apiece, and Kendall Rockwell, Maci Wheeler, and Paige Bubniak added four points apiece.
Waverly will face Susquehanna Valley Tuesday at 7:45 p.m.
Athens 28, Wyalusing 18Allie Kemp led Athens in a 28-18 win over Wyalusing Sunday in consolation bracket action.
Kemp pumped in 13 to pace Athens, while Arabella Robbins scored five points, and Alissa Vough added four points.
Lacee Warner led Wyalusing with seven points, and Riley O'Connor added six.
Horseheads 35, NP-Mansfield 20Gianna Hughes scored 11 points to lead Horseheads to a 35-20 win over North Penn-Mansfield in winner's bracket action.
Anna Zeller added eight points in the win, whileMaggie Tremaine had seven, and Hannah Sydlansky chipped in with five.
