THE VALLEY — Athens senior Emma Renninger won a District 4 wrestling title as the third seed, while Sayre sophomore Jordan Brown duplicated that feat at the North Section Championships, and Waverly freshman Drayton DeKay won his first Section IV title. They are the VSR / Bishop Brothers Construction "Athletes of the Week," for the week ending Feb. 15.

Renninger opened with an 80-second fall in the quarterfinals of the District 4 Championships, then beat seventh-seeded Darrell Reyes-Ramirez in a 47-second pin in the semifinals

In the 112-pound finale, Renninger beat top-seeded Arizona Moore of Hughesville, 8-7.

WAVERLY'S DEKAY, SAYRE'S BROWN NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION BOYS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
DeKay scored a pair of quick falls, and a technical fall to win the 116-pound title at the Section IV, Division 2 championships.

DeKay recorded falls in 60 and 67 seconds to advance to the finals, where he beat teammate Rhylee Stotler in a 17-2 technical fall.

Brown opened with a 24-second fall, then pinned second-seeded Rylan Briedt of Troy in 1:13 to advance to the 172-pound title match, where he beat top-seeded Chase Guerin of Towanda, 7-2.
