PIAA WRESTLING: SAYRE'S BROWN FINSHES NORTH EAST REGIONALS AT 0-2 (2025-03-01)

WILLIAMSPORT — Sayre sophomore Jordan Brown lost his only bout of the day Saturday to finish 0-2 at this weekend's PIAA North East Regional Wrestling Championships.

Brown dropped a 10-2 major decision to Honesdale's Mason Avery in the first round of wrestlebacks Saturday morning.

Avery scored takedowns in each of the three periods to build a 10-0 lead.

Brown scored an escape midway through the third period to get on the board. He also received a penalty point for stalling against Avery with 12 seconds remaining.

Brown wraps up the season with a 20-10.
