THE VALLEY — The final two events of the 2024-25 winter season will be held this week with swimmers from Athens and bowlers from Waverly will vie for state hardware.

WEDNESDAY-THURSDAY
Athens sophomore Brayden Pettitt will swim in two individual events, and senior Ethan Hicks and sophomore Eli Hicks will swim in one event.

The Wildcats boys will also have three relays at States, with Ethan Hicks and sophomore Eli Hicks swimming in all three, and Pettitt and senior Ronel Ankam swimming in two.

FRIDAY
The Waverly boys bowling team will make its third consecutive trip to the New York State Division 2 bowling championships at Strike N' Spare Lanes in Syracuse.

The Wolverines were led by junior Derek Johnson, 8th-grader Colten Santalucia, and sophomore Maison Apgar, as well as senior Dominic Wood, freshman Griff Walter, and junior Tristan Campbell.

SATURDAY
Senior Serenity Conklin will compete in the New York State Girls Championships at Strike 'N Spare Lanes.
