Valley Sports Report
SAYRE — Northeast Bradford scored nine runs in the third inning to blow open a one-run game on its way to a 22-3 four-inning win over Sayre here on a windy Saturday afternoon at Riverfront Park.

After the Panthers scored three unearned runs in the top of the first inning, the Redskins answered with two runs on a one-our RBI triple by junior Rylee Lantz, who scored moments later on an error off the bat of senior Abbie McGaughey.

Neither team was able to score in the second inning, but Hanna Burger led off the top of the third with a triple, and Kelsea Moore followed with a two-run blast over the fence in left-center field to make it 5-2.

Later in the inning, Moore rapped a three-run double to make it 11-2, and Orissa Gardner followed with an RBI double to cap the rally.

Senior Raegan Parrish led off the bottom of the third inning with a single, and scored on a two-out wild pitch to close the gap to 12-3.

The Panthers rapped out seven hits, and took advantage of four Sayre errors in the top of the fourth inning to extend its lead to 22-3.

Raegan Parrish singled twice and scored two runs, and Lantz tripled, scored one run, and drove in one run to account for Sayre's three hits. McGaughey added an RBI.

Raegan Parrish was tagged with the loss. She was hampered by nine Redskin errors, which accounted for 11 unearned runs. She struck out four and walked four.

Moore had three hits, including a home run and a double, four RBI, and six RBI, and Makenna Callear had four hits, including a double, three runs scored, and two RBI to pace the Panthers at the plate, while Berger had three hits, including a triple, four runs scored, and three RBI, and Gardner had three hits, including a double, one run scored, and four RBI.
