THE VALLEY — There are four games on Thursday's docket, including the Waverly flag football team opening its season at Norwich, but all four are on the road.

BASEBALL
Athens (2-0) at Wyalusing (1-4), 4:30 p.m.:
The Wildcats are coming off a 16-10 win over Wellsboro Monday, while the Rams dropped a 15-2 decision to Troy.

SOFTBALL
Athens (3-0) at Wyalusing, 4:30 p.m.:
The Wildcats are coming off a 10-4 win at Wellsboro Monday, while the Rams dropped a 17-0 decision to Troy.

Athens swept Wyalusing last year by scores of 8-1 and 8-4.

Sayre (1-2) at NEB (3-1), 4:30 p.m.:
The Redskins are coming off an 18-8 loss to Williamson Monday, while the Panthers topped Canton, 14-4.

Last week, NEB won at Sayre, 22-3.

FLAG FOOTBALL
Waverly at Norwich, 5:30 p.m.:
Coming off a successful first season, the Waverly flag football team opens the 2025 campaign at Norwich.

The Wolverines finished their inaugural season at 8-2-3, but lost QB Paige Robinson, WRs Ashlen Croft and Erica Rick, RB Ally Barrett, and defensive lineman Brenae Tedesco to graduation.

Last year, the teams tied 19-19.
