THE VALLEY — The 2025 spring season shift into high gear with action on both sides of the border this week.

There are 28 events on this week's docket, including seven on Saturday, six of which are home games, and six on Thursday.

The following are all of the home varsity events this week, and a few of the notable road events:

MONDAY (3)
•  Sayre baseball hosts non-league for Loyalsock.

•  Waverly tennis opens the season at home against Chenango Valley.

TUESDAY (5)
•  Sayre baseball and softball hosts Cowanesque Valley on the diamonds.

WEDNESDAY (4)
•  Tioga baseball and softball opens the season with home games against Union Springs.

•  Waverly flag football plays its home opener against Susquehanna Valley.

•  Waverly tennis hosts Chenango Forks.

THURSDAY (6)
•  Athens baseball and softball hosts crosstown rival Sayre on the diamonds.

•  Tioga hosts Marathon, Moravia and Newfield in a track & field quad meet.

•  Waverly opens the track & field season at home against Chenango Valley.

FRIDAY (3)
•  Waverly baseball opens the 2025 campaign against U-E at Mirabito (formerly B-Met) Stadium.

SATURDAY (7)
•  Tioga softball hosts Valley rival Athens.

•  Athens baseball hosts non-league foe Milton.

•  Tioga baseball hosts Delhi in non-league action.

•  Sayre baseball and softball hosts non-league foe Sullivan County.

•  Waverly flag football hosts Chenango Valley.
