THE VALLEY — Just four games on the docket, but the Waverly tennis opens the season at home, Sayre baseball seeks its first win of the season at Riverfront Park Monday afternoon.

BASEBALL
Athens (3-0) at NP-Mansfield (4-0), 4:30 p.m.:
The Wildcats, who have scored 49 runs in their first three games, are coming off a 19-4 win at WYalusing, while the Tigers edged Troy, 6-4.

Last year NP-M won at Athens 9-2 on April 7, then won at home, 4-3, on May 3.

The game was originally scheduled to be played Tuesday.

Loyalsock (0-3) at Sayre (0-2), 4:30 p.m.:
The Redskins are coming off an 11-8 home loss to Williamson Tuesday, while the Lancers dropped a 19-14 decision to Lake Lehman.

TRACK & FIELD

Tioga, Groton, Southern Cayuga, Union Springs at Newfield, 4:30 p.m.:
The Tigers open the 2025 season in a five-team meet at Newfield with a host of athletes returning from last season.

TENNIS
Chenango Valley at Waverly, 5 p.m.:
The Wolverines are looking for their first win since 2023 after going winless in its first year in the STAC.
