IAC TRACK & FIELD: ALBRECHT PACES TIOGA'S EFFORTS IN THREE-TEAM MEET (2025-04-02)
Valley Sports ReportTIOGA CENTER — Junior Gavin Albrecht was a double-winner to pace Tioga's efforts in a four-team non-scoring IAC track & field meet here on a cold and rainy Wednesday afternoon.
Marathon and Moravia were also competing in the meet.
BOYSJunior Gavin Albrecht won the 100-meter dash in 11.6 seconds, and senior Kam Joyce was third at 12.3 seconds.
Albrecht and Joyce teamed with juniors Dominic Palmer and Jayden Duncanson to win the 400-meter relay in a time of 48.5 seconds.
Senior Andrew Earley won the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 16.8 seconds, and senior Ryan Chamberlain was second in 19.1 seconds.

Senior Trevor Wheeler won the 200-meter dash in a time of 25.8 seconds, and Palmer was third in 26.7 seconds
Freshman Mark McCane led a sweep in the shot put with a heave of 32-feet, 7-inches, while sophomore Markel Watkins was second at 31-feet, 6-inches, and freshman Jason Rifenburg was third at 31-feet, 2 1/2-inches.
Sophomore Shane PLatukis won the discus with a toss of 82-feet, 2-inches.
Sophomore Skyler Nelson won the long jump with a leap of 12-feet, 3 1/2-inches.
Junior Talon Wood won the triple jump with a mark of 28-feet, 11 1/2-inches.
Sophomore Alen Winans won the high jump, clearing the bar at 5-feet, 2-inches, and Palmer was second at 5-feet.
Wheeler was second in the 400-meter dash in a time of 58.3 seconds, and senior Dominick Ocasio was third in 1:05.9.
Wood was second in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:36, and sophomore Caden Rapp was third in 2:41.9.
Wood was third in the 1,600-meter run in a time of 5:34.
GIRLSEighth-grader Grace Howey led a sweep in the 100-meter dash in a time of 13.8 seconds, while junior Mia Hall was second in 14.5 seconds, freshman Vida Rossi was third in 14.7 seconds, and 8th-grader Natalie Kemp was fourth in 15.2 seconds.
Sophomore Sara Prough led a sweep in the discus with a toss of 54-feet, 4-inches, while sophomore Kendall Ward was second at 53-feet, 8-inches, and sophomore Amelia Toomey was third at 51-feet, 8-inches.
Rossi won the long jump with a leap of 14-feet, 6 1/2-inches
Howey was second in the 200-meter dash in a mite of 31.2 seconds.
Freshman Amber Bennett placed second in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:33.7, and sophomore Sadie Marshall was third in 1:35.7.
Toomey was second in the shot put with a heave of 23-feet, 9 3/4-inches, and Prough was third at 22-feet, 4 1/2-inches.
Sophomore Serenity Relyea was second in the high jump at 3-feet, 8-inches.
Hall was third in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:15.5.
Tioga returns to action Tuesday at Candor.
