IAC SOFTBALL: FEEKO HITS FOR CYCLE IN TIOGA'S 16-1 WIN OVER NEWFIELD (14 PHOTOS) (2025-04-09)
Valley Sports ReportTIOGA CENTER — Junior RaeAnne Feeko hit for the cycle, and 8th-grader Kate Kithcart tossed a 3-hitter to lead Tioga to a 16-1 five-inning win over Newfield here Wednesday afternoon in IAC Small School Division softball action.
Feeko was 4-for-4 with a home run, triple, double, single, four runs scored, and two RBI, and Kithcart was 4-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored, and one RBI to pace Tioga's 19-hit attack, while senior Erin Luther had three hits, including a triple and a double, one run scored, and four RBI.
Eighth-grader Bri Lounsbury had two hits, one run scored, and two RBI in the win, and senior McKenzie Williams and Emily Shiner each had two hits and two runs scored.
Junior Lilly Mezzatesta tripled, scored three runs, and drove in two runs for the Tigers, while junior Jade Keaty singled, scored one run, and drove in one run, and sophomore Vanessa Tunnicliff added two RBI.
Kithcart was the beneficiary of the offensive onslaught, allowing one run on three hits, while striking out six and walking one in five innings to earn the win.
Tioga scored four runs in the home half of the first inning to take a 4-1 lead, and added four more runs in the second to take an 8-1 lead.
The Tigers stretched their lead to 14-1 with five runs in the fourth inning.
Tioga, now 3-0, returns to action Friday at Groton.
