NTL JUNIOR HIGH BASEBALL: ATHENS TOPS CANTON, 5-2 (April 17, 2025)

CANTON — Shea Davidson had a big day at the plate, and on the mound to lead Athens to a 5-2 five-inning win over Canton here Tuesday in NTL junior high baseball action.

Davidson's two-run double highlighted a three-run Athens rally in the top of the third inning to give the Wildcats a 3-0 lead.

Athens led 3-2 after four inning, and tacked on a pair of insurance runs in the top of the fifth inning.

Davidson allowed two runs on four hits, while striking out six and walking four in a five-inning complete game to earn the win.

Davidson also doubled and singled, scored two runs, and drove in two runs to pace Athens' six-hit attack, while Jacob Saxon and Blake Bowman singled and scored one run

Ryan Hicks and Easton Paul each singled and drove in one run in the win, while Caleb Gorsline added a single, and Cy Yeager scored one run.
