LOCK HAVEN — Sayre senior Rose Shikanga, sophomore Hudson Malanoski, and junior Emma Cole each reached the podium to pace Sayre's efforts here Friday at the Lock Haven Track Field Invitational.

Shikanga finished second in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 16.74 seconds.

Malanoski placed sixth in the shot put with a personal-best effort of 40-feet, 7 1/2-inches. He finished 12th in the discus with a personal-best throw of 98-feet, 3-inches.

Cole placed eighth in the discus with a personal-best toss of 82-feet, 4-inches. She was 23rd in the shot put with a heave of 19-feet, 11 3/4-inches.

Senior Marcos Quiros, who was battling illness, finished ninth in the 100-meter dash in 11.45 seconds. He was 13th in the 400-meter dash in 55.66 seconds, and 15th in the 200-meter dash at 24.45 seconds.

Sophomore Glenn VanBenthuysen finished 15th in the 1,600-meter run in a personal-best time of 5:10.0. He was 20th in the 3,200-meter relay in 12:05.0.

Sayre returns to action Friday at the Lasagna Invite in Wyalusing.
