THE WEEK AHEAD: BUSY WEEK HAS A BIT OF EVERYTHING (2025-04-20)

THE VALLEY — It's another busy week for high school sports, and there's a little bit of everything — baseball, softball, boys and girls golf, track & field, and tennis — on the docket in the Valley this week.

There are 30 events on the docket this week, including seven Tuesday and six Wednesday.

The following are all of the home varsity events this week, and a few of the notable road events:

MONDAY (2)
•  Tioga golf hosts Candor in its first home match at the Tioga Golf Course.

TUESDAY (7)
•  Athens hosts a quad track & field meet that also includes Sayre, Troy and Wyalusing.

•  Sayre softball and baseball hosts Canton on the diamonds.

•  Tioga golf hosts O-M in its second home match in as many days.

•  The Waverly girls host Corning and Marathon at Tomasso's Golf Course.

WEDNESDAY (6)
•  Sayre softball hosts Sullivan County in non-league action.

•  Waverly baseball hosts Chenango Forks in the second game of a three-game series.

•  S-VE hosts Waverly and Corning in girls golf action at Shepard Hills.

•  Waverly tennis hosts Norwich.

THURSDAY (6)
•  Waverly hosts Dundee in non-league softball action.

FRIDAY (4)
•  Athens, Sayre, and Waverly will compete at the Lasagna Track & Field Invite in Wyalusing.

•  Sayre hosts Valley baseball rival Athens at Riverfront Park.

SATURDAY (5)
•  Athens softball is in action at the Central Columbia Tournament.

•  Waverly softball hosts non-league games against Elmira and Pittsford-Sutherland.
