STAC TRACK & FIELD: LARRABEE, CHAMBERLAIN DOUBLE-WINNERS; WAVERLY GIRLS, BOYS FALL TO ONEONTA (April 22, 2025)
Valley Sports ReportONEONTA — Juniors Haley Larrabee and Mackenzie Chamberlain were double-winner for the Waverly girls, while senior Nic Mattison and Jase Fravel logged the boys' only win as both teams suffered lopsided losses to Oneonta here Tuesday afternoon in STAC track & field action.
GIRLS
Oneonta 100, Waverly 36Larrabee and Chamberlain each won individual events, and were part of winning relay teams to pace the Lady Wolverines in a 100-36 loss to the Yellowjackets.
Larrabee won the 400-meter dash in 1:05.4.
She also teamed with junior Kaitlyn Sutton, sophomore Ryleigh Judson, and freshman Kaylin Twedt to win the 1,600-meter relay in a time of 4:17.1.
Chamberlain team with senior Harper Minaker, and sophomore Makenzie Olmsted and Judson to win the 3,200-meter relay in a time of 10:44.0.
Chamberlain won the 3,000-meter dash in a time of 12:16.3.
Olmsted finished second in the 1,500-meter run in a time of 5:37.5, and Minaker was third in 5:52.0.
Olmsted was also second in the 800-meter dash in a time of 2:47.5.
Freshman Kendall Rockwell finished second in the high jump at 4-feet, 4-inches.
Judson was second in the long jump at 14-feet, 7 1/4-inches.
Freshman Gianna Soprano finished third in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:14.4.
Senior Addison Westbrook was third in the discus at 64-feet, 11-inches.
Sutton finished third in the triple jump at 30-feet, 2 1/2-inches.
BOYS
Oneonta 103, Waverly 38Mattison won the 800-meter run in a time of 2:09.4.
Fravel won the discus with a toss of 104-feet, 10-inches, and sophomore Carson Rockwell was third at 93-feet.
Fravel finished second in the shot put at 31-feet, 3 1/2-inches, and Rockwell was third at 29-feet, 10 1/2-inches.
Senior Riley Pipher was second in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:09.0.
Freshman Drayton DeKay finished second in the triple jump. He was also second in the pole vault at 10-feet.
Freshman Jaxon Chandler placed second in the high jump, clearing the bar at 5-feet, 4-inches. He finished third in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 18.1 seconds.
Senior Seth Noto was third in the 100-meter dash in 12.0 seconds.
Sophomore Chase Hine was third in the 1,600-meter run in a time of 5:04.0. He was also third in the 3,200-meter run in a time of 11:53.8.
VanDyke was third in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:04.3.
Freshman Conner Collazo finished third in the long jump with a leap of 19-feet, 1 3/4-inches.
Waverly returns to action Friday at the Lasagna Invite in Wyalusing.
