NTL TRACK & FIELD: TRIPLE-WINNER QUIROS LEADS SAYRE AT ATHENS' QUAD MEET (10 PHOTOS) (2025-04-22)
Valley Sports ReportATHENS — Senior Marco Quiros was a triple-winner to pace Sayre's efforts here Tuesday in a NTL track & field quad meet here at Alumni Stadium.
Also in action were Athens, Troy and Wyalusing.
Quiros won the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.39 seconds, and the 200-meter dash in 22.72 seconds.
Quiros also won the 400-meter dash in a time of 51.68 seconds.
Senior Rose Shikanga notched Sayre's only other win of the day, winning the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 16.54 seconds.
Sophomore Hudson Malanoski finished second in the shot put with a heave of 38-feet, 5 1/2-inches.
Junior Emma Cole was second in the discus with a toss of 91-feet, 7-inches.
Sayre returns to action Friday at the Lasagna Invite.
