The Chiefs led 3-1 after the first inning, and 6-3 after two winnings.
Southern Cayuga increased its lead to 8-3 with a pair of runs in the top of the fourth inning, but the Tigers answered with three runs in the home half of the inning to close the gap to 8-6 in a rally that was capped by a two-run double by junior Gavin Kithcart.
In the bottom of the fifth, junior Cam Ross singled up the middle to drive in a run, and the Tigers plated two runs on a two-out error to take a 9-8 lead after five innings.
Junior Cooper Dember led off the home half of the sixth with a triple and scored on a fielder's choice off the bat of junior Max Paugh to take a 10-8 lead.
After a sacrifice fly by senior Shea Bailey made it 11-8, Tioga continued to tack on runs on a groundout by freshman Josh Rought, an RBI single by senior Garrett Godfrey, and RBI double by Kithcart, and three consecutive bases-loaded walks — to Dember, junior Jackson Varner, and Paugh — to make it 17-8.
Bailey then ended the game with a two-run single into center field to invoke the 10-run rule.
Bailey singled twice and had five RBI, and Kithcart doubled twice, scored one run and had three RBI to pace Tioga's 14-hit attack, while Varner was 3-for-3 with three runs scored and two RBI, and Godfrey doubled and singled, scored two runs, and drove in one run.
