NEW YORK STATE GIRLS BASKETBALL: WESTBROOK NAMED TO SECOND TEAM, JUDSON THIRD TEAM CLASS B ALL-STATE (2025-05-07)

Valley Sport Report
WAVERLY — Waverly senior Addison Westbrook earned a second-team Class B all-state girls basketball honor, and sophomore teammate Ryleigh Judson was named to the third team by the New York State Sports Writers Association.

"I think it’s an outstanding honor and a reflection of the time and effort they have put in," said Waverly coach Bob Kelly. "Both being ranked in the top 15 players in Class B is very indicative of the season that each have had.

"I am extremely thrilled for each of them," added Kelly.

Westbrook, an exceptional defender with the ability score from all over the court, averaged 12 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2.7 steals per game. She canned 32 3-pointers this season.

Judson, a dangerous 3-point scorer who can also score in transition, averaged 12.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2.5 steals, and knocked down a Valley-high 46 3-pointers.

"What a way for Addison to cap off her high school career as she heads into a new phase of her life at RIT," said Kelly.

"And being named third team all state can be such a motivator for Ryleigh heading into her junior season.

"It has been such a pleasure to coach Addison and Ryleigh," added Kelly. "I am very happy for them."
