NTL BASEBALL: WYALUSING EDGES SAYRE, 3-0 (2025-05-08)

SAYRE — Wyalusing's Hunter House tossed a 3-hitter to outduel Sayre junior Karter Green in a 3-0 win here Thursday in NTL baseball action on Ralph Hendershot Field at Riverfront Park.

The Rams scored a run in the top of the fourth to break a scoreless tie, and added two insurance runs in the fifth.

House fanned 16 and walked one in 6 2/3 innings to earn the win.

Green stroked a pair of singles, and senior Nick Pellicano added a single to account for Sayre's three hits.

Green was tagged with the loss, allowing three runs on eight hits, with nine strikeouts and one walk in 6 1/3 innings of work.

Sophomore Shaine Strickland retired the only two batters he faced in relief.

Sayre, now 0-13, heads to Sullivan County Saturday to complete a game that was tied at 13-13 in the eighth inning when it was suspended earlier this season, and play a regularly-scheduled game.
