HORNELL — The Waverly girls, paced by freshman Kaylin Twedt who had four top-five finishes, won a pair of relays and finished fifth here Friday at the Hornell Track & Field Invitational, while senior Nic Mattison paced the boys' efforts.

LADY WOLVERINES PLACE FIFTH IN 20-TEAM FIELD

Hornell ran away with the team title, amassing 107 points, while Allegany-Limestone was second in the 20-team field with 79 points, Warsaw was third with 53, Wellsville was fourth with 47, and Waverly 46 points.

Twedt teamed with juniors Haley Larrabee and Kaitlyn Sutton and freshman Gianna Soprano to win the 1,600-meter relay in a time of 4:13.61.

Senior Harper Minaker, junior Mackenzie Chamberlain, and sophomores Makenzie Olmsted and Ryleigh Judson teamed to win the 3,200-meter run in a time of 11:01.85.

Kaylin Twedt placed third in the 100-meter dash in a time of 13.08 seconds, and Sutton was ninth in 13.66 seconds

Twedt also placed third in the 200-meter dash in a time of 26.77 seconds, and Larrabee was eighth in 28.19 seconds.

Makenzie Olmsted placed third in the 1,500-meter run in a time of 5:23.22, and freshman Lilliana Schooner was 11th in 5:53.11.

Sutton placed fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 31-feet, 11 1/4-inches.

Twedt, Larrabee, Sutton, and Soprano teamed to finish fifth in the 400-meter relay in a time of 53.39 seconds.

Chamberlain finished fifth in the 3,000-meter run in a time of 12:03.78, and sophomore Taylor Sinsabaugh was 13th in 13:54.46.

Senior Maddy Olmsted finished 13th in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:52.49, and freshman Miah Correll was 23rd in 3:04.50.

Soprano finished 18th in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 20.22 seconds, and 8th-grader Brynna Twedt was 20th in 20.82 seconds.

WAVERLY BOYS FINISH NINTH IN TEAM STANDING
Wellsville won the team title with 100 points, while Arkport was second with 64 points, and Franklinville was third with 55 points. There was a three-way Tiel for fourth place with 39 points, and Waverly finished ninth with 35 points.

Mattison, senior Riley Pipher, junior Hayden Howe, and sophomore Jayden Washington teamed to win the 3,200-meter run in a time of 8:57.66.

Mattison placed second in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:02.3, and junior Hayden Howe was fifth in 2:12.77.

Sophomore Rhylee Stotler finished third in the pole vault, clearing the bar at 11-feet, 1-inches.

Pipher, Stotler, and freshmen Drayton DeKay and Jaxon Chandler teamed to place fourth in the 1,600-meter relay in a time of 3:48.79.

DeKay finished fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 37-feet, 1/2-inch, and Stotler was eighth at 35-feet, 3-inches.

Junior Troy Beeman placed sixth in the discus with a toss of 126-feet, 2-inches.

Beeman was also sixth in the shot put at 40-feet, and senior Payton Fravel was 18th at 35-feet, 7-inches.

SPipher placed sixth in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:03.09.

Senior Seth Noto was ninth in the 100-meter dash in a time of 12.21 seconds, and junior Brance VanDyke was 24th in 12.79 seconds. Noto was 12th in the long jump with a mark of 17-feet.

Freshman Hayden Tim Montanye finished 11th in the 1,600-meter run in a time of 5:05.2, and sophomore Chase Hine was 13th in 5:06.33.

Chandler finished 11th in the high jump, clearing the bar at 5-feet, 2-inches, and junior Carter Davies was 16th at 5-feet. Chandler was 12th in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 18.94 seconds.

Junior Andrew Larrabee finished 14th in the 200-meter dash in a time of 25.46 seconds, and Stotler was 19th in 25.95 seconds.

Freshman Garrett Akins was 18th in the 3,200-meter run in a time of 14:36.66.

Sophomore Trent VanDyke was 22nd in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:03.01.

Waverly wraps up the regular season Friday at the Fast Times Invite at Corning-Painted Post High School.
