NTL BASEBALL: TROY BLANKS SAYRE, 10-0 (2025-05-12)

EAST TROY — Josiah Frye tossed a 1-hitter to lead Troy to a 10-0 win over Sayre here Monday afternoon in NTL baseball action.

Frye struck out eight and walked two in six innings to earn the win.

Senior Nick Pellicano led off the game with a single for Sayre's lone hit of the game.

Troy took immediate control of the game with a five-run rally in the home half of the first. Jack Burbage's two-run double and Cam Allen's two-run single were the key hits in the inning.

The Trojans added a run in the second, and another in the fifth to extend the lead to 7-0, then ended the game via the 10-run rule with three runs in the bottom of the sixth. Allen ended the game with an RBI single.

Allen had three hits, including a double, and three RBI, and Burbage doubled and singled, and drove in three runs to pace Troy at the plate.

Sayre, now 0-15, hosts Towanda Wednesday.
