NTL SOFTBALL: TROY TOPS SAYRE, 6-1 (2025-05-13)

EAST TROY — Erinn Knapp tossed a 1-hitter to lead Troy to a, 6-1, rain-shortened six-inning win over Sayre in NTL softball action here Tuesday afternoon.

Knapp allowed one unearned run, while striking out 12 and walking six in six innings.

Senior Raegan Parrish had Sayre's lone hit, and junior Olivia Thompson, who drew a pair of base on balls, scored the lone run.

Troy took a 1-0 lead in the home half of the first, and stretched the lead to 4-0 after two innings.

In the top of the third inning, Thompson worked a one-out walk, and scored on a throwing error to close the gap to 4-1.

Troy added a pair of insurance runs in the fourth inning.

Raegan Parrish was tagged with the loss, allowing six runs — all unearned, thanks to four Sayre errors, four hits. She fanned three and walked five.

Sayre, now 3-13, hosts Towanda Wednesday.
