IAC BOYS GOLF: TIOGA TOPS O-M, FALLS TO CANDOR; PUNCHES TICKET TO CLASS D CHAMPIONSHIPS (2025-05-13)
Valley Sport ReportCATATONK — Playing without its top golfer, Tioga pulled out a five-stroke win over Odessa-Montour, but wasn't able to stay with Candor here on a rainy Tuesday afternoon at Catatonk Golf Course.
The Coyotes, now 6-2, shot a four-player aggregate of 176 to top Tioga, which shot a 203. O-M carded a 208.
Junior Owen Seaver led Tioga, which was playing without senior James Luther, with a 45, and freshman Drake Ulrich carded a 49.
Senior Jackson Clark shot a 54 for the Tigers, and junior Brady Landmesser added a 55. Eighth-grader Parker Jackson tacked on a non-scoring round of 61.
Candor's Noah Banks earned low-medal honors with a 42, while Max Fey shot a 44, and Kody Floyd, Tyler Greeno, and Brennan Zimmer each added round of 45.
Ethan Nolan led O-M with a 43, and Patrick Croft added a 51.
Tioga, which wrapped up the regular season at 6-5 to qualify for the Section IV, Class D Championships at Sony Delhi on May 27, returns to action May 22 at Oak Twain Golf Course for the IAC Championships.
Luther will also compete in the Section IV Individual Medalist Tournament later this month.
