THE VALLEY — Baseball and softball dominates Wednesday's schedule, with home games at Tioga and Sayre, as the regular season draws to a close on both sides of the border.

BASEBALL
Athens (14-3) at Canton (6-12), 4:30 p.m.: The Wildcats are coming off an 8-5 loss to Wellsboro Sunday, while the Warriors  dropped a 5-4 decision to Wyalusing Monday.

Towanda (11-7) at Sayre (0-15), 4:30 p.m.: The Redskins are coming off a 10-0 loss to Troy Monday, while the Black Knights edged Cowanesque Valley, 5-4.

Newark Valley (0-12) at Tioga (9-4), 4:30 p.m.: The Tigers are coming off a 7-0 loss to state-ranked Union Springs Tuesday, while the Cardinals dropped a 12-1 decision to Newfield Monday.

SOFTBALL
Athens (17-1) at Canton (3-15), 4:30 p.m.: The Wildcats are coming off a 5-1 win over Wellsboro Tuesday, while the Warriors dropped a 4-1 decision to Wyalusing Monday,.

Waverly (8-8) at Seton Catholic (3-7), 5 p.m.: The Wolverines are coming off a 5-2 win over Windsor Monday, while the Saints rolled to a 13-1 win over Norwich.

In the first meeting, Waverly cruised to a 15-2 win over Seton Catholic.
