DISTRICT 4 TRACK & FIELD: SHIKANGA LEADS SAYRE AT DAY 1 OF CLASS AA CHAMPIONSHIPS (5 PHOTOS) (2025-05-15)

WILLIAMSPORT — Senior Rose Shikanga advanced to the finals in the 100-meter hurdles, while sophomore Hudson Malanoski narrowly missed the podium here Thursday at Day 1 of the District 4, Class AA Track & Field Championships at Williamsport High School.

Shikanga ran the second-fastest time in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 15.84 seconds.

Malanoski finished ninth in the shot put with a heave of 43-feet, 6-inches.

Senior Marcos Quiros, who is a top seed in the 200- and 400-meter events, finished 11th in the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.39 seconds.

Day 2 of the District 4 Championships begins Saturday at 10 a.m.
