Valley Sports Report
HOOVER, Ala. — Sayre grad Brayden Horton, a junior on the Oklahoma baseball team, has started in both SEC Tournament games, and was a key contributor in the Sooners' 3-2 win over fifth-seed Georgia that advanced them to the quarterfinals.

Oklahoma, the 12-seed, knocked off 13-seed Kentucky, 5-1, Tuesday in the opening round of the tournament. Horton, who started at first base, was 0-2.

On Wednesday, Horton, again starting at first base, was 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Horton had a sacrifice fly in the top of the fourth inning to tie the game at 1-1. He also hit an RBI single in the sixth inning to give the Sooners a 3-1 lead.

Oklahoma, now 35-19, takes on fourth-seeded Vanderbilt Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the quarterfinals.
