THE WEEK AHEAD: ATHENS SOFTBALL, N.Y. POSTSEASON TAKE CENTER STAGE (2025-05-25)

Valley Sports Report
THE VALLEY — Athens softball is the only competitor remaining South of the Border for Valley sports fans to follow, but the postseason in N.Y. is in full swing with baseball, softball, track & field and golf in full swing.

There are currently eight events on this week's docket, including three each on Tuesday and Wednesday, but wins by Waverly baseball, and / or Waverly and Tioga softball would create additional games.

The following are all of the postseason events this week:

MONDAY
No Games Scheduled.

TUESDAY (3)
•  Waverly softball hosts Oneonta in Section IV, Class B quarterfinals.

•  Tioga softball hosts Southern Cayuga in the Section IV, Class C quarterfinals.

•  The Tioga boys golf team is in action at the Section IV, Class C Championships at Maple Hills Golf Course in Marathon.

WEDNESDAY (3)
•  Athens softball takes on Central Columbia in the District 4, Class 4A Championship game at Elm Park in Williamsport.

•  Waverly baseball travels to Oneonta for a Section IV, Class B semi-final matchup.

•  Tioga will compete at the Section IV, Class C Track & Field Championships at Marathon.

THURSDAY (2)
•  The Waverly girls golf team is in action at the Section IV Championships at Soaring Eagles Golf Course.

•  Waverly will compete at the Section IV, Class B Track & Field Championships at Oneonta High School.

FRIDAY
There are no events scheduled.

SATURDAY
There are no events scheduled.
