ATHENS' BURGESS AND HILEY NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION GIRLS' "ATHLETES OF THE WEEK"Burgess ran a personal-best time of 12.12 seconds to finish fourth at the PIAA Class 3A Championships in the 100-meter dash. She was just .02 seconds off the bronze medal time.
Burgess barely made the finals, runningn 12.43 to finish eighth in qualifying - by .01 seconds.
She finished 23rd in the state in the 200-meter dash in 26.14 seconds
Hiley tossed a one-hitter, with 13 strikeouts and just one walk in seven innings to lead the Wildcats into the District 4 Class 4A championship game as they seek their first-ever District title.
Hiley has tossed five seven-inning one-hitters and five seven-inning two-hitters this season, and has 249 strikeouts.

NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION BOYS' "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"Albrecht, who hit the super standard in the pole vault at 14-feet, 7-inches, won IAC gold at 13-feet, 6-inches in sub-par condition.
He won the long jump at 18-feet, 4-inches, and finished third in the 100-meter dash in 11.57 seconds.
Albrecht was also on the winning 400-meter relay.
