THE WEEK AHEAD: ATHENS SOFTBALL, SECTION IV TRACK & FIELD ONLY EVENTS ON DOCKET (2025-06-01)

THE VALLEY — The spring season, and in turn the 2024-25 sports season, is winding down with the Athens softball team the lone diamond team still standing, joining Section IV track & field as the only action on this week's docket.

(NOTE: The New York State girls golf championships begin Sunday.)

MONDAY
•  The Athens softball teams travels to New Tripoli, Pa. to take on District 11 champ Northwestern Lehigh in the opening round of the PIAA, Class 4A playoffs.

THURSDAY
•  The Waverly and Tioga track & field teams will be in action at Day 1 of the Section IV State Qualifier.

FRIDAY
•  The Waverly and Tioga track & field teams will be in action at Day 2 of the Section IV State Qualifier.

SUNDAY-MONDAY
•  Waverly senior Breanne Robinson will play at the New York State girls golf championships at Wild Wood Country Club in Rush, N.Y.
