'DUALS ON DESMOND ALL-STAR WRESTLING SHOWCASE' SET FOR SATURDAY (2025-06-06)

SAYRE — The second annual "Duals on Desmond All-Star Wrestling Showcase" is set for Saturday here on Desmond Street with activities beginning at 2 p.m., and wrestling getting underway at 4:45 p.m.

There will be youth, varsity boys and varsity girls matches featuring All-Star teams from New York and Pennsylvania.

The event will begin with local band Bad Eye Deer performing from 2 to 4:15 p.m. Opening ceremonies, including the Presentation of Colors by the Valley Color Guard, will begin at 4:30 with the youth dual kicking off the wrestling action at 4:45 p.m..

The varsity girls dual is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and the varsity boys will wrap up the event at 7:45 p.m.. Times are subject to change, depending on length of matches.

There will also be several food, drink and ice cream trucks on Desmond Street during the event.
