NEW YORK STATE BOYS TRACK & FIELD: TIOGA'S PALMER IN 11TH AFTER DAY 1 OF PENTATHLON (7 PHOTOS) (June 13, 2025)

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. — Tioga junior Dominic Palmer is in 11th place in the Pentathlon in Division C after Day 1 of the New York State Track & Field Championships.

After three events, Palmer has 1,564 points, well off his total of 1,848 points after three events at the Section IV Championships.

Silver Creek junior Nathan Mays leads Division C with 1,984 points, and Oneonta junior Beckett Holmes is first with 1,971 points.

Palmer was eight in the hurdles in a time of 17.15 seconds, then finished 10th in the high jump at 5-feet, 5-inches.

He closed out the day with a 12th-place finish in the shot put with a heave of 30-feet, 10 1/2-inches.

Palmer will finish up Saturday with the long jump, and the 1,500-meter run.
