DISTRICT 15 LITTLE LEAGUE (MAJORS): ELK LAKE BLANKS ATHENS, 12-0; WINS DISTRICT TITLE (24 PHOTOS) (2025-07-04) Valley Sports Report ATHENS — Elk Lake took the lead early, and blew the game open late, winning the District 15 Little League baseball Majors Division title with a 12-0 five-inning win over Athens here Friday afternoon.
Elk Lake scored three runs in the top of the second inning, and two more in the third to take a 5-0 lead.
Elk Lake pushed seven runs across the plate in the fifth, then retired Athens in order in the home half of the inning to win via the 10-run rule.
Carter Johnson, Easton Hubbard, Connor Robinson, and Casyn Rowe each singled to account for Athens' four hits.
Athens finishes the District 15 playoffs with a 6-2 record — both losses coming to Elk Lake.
