BOYS BASKETBALL: CORNING ON TOP OF WAVERLY SUMMER LEAGUE STANDINGS (2025-07-07)

WAVERLY — Corning remained unbeaten to maintain a one-game lead over Candor, Wellsboro, and Towanda — all with one loss — after Week 3 of the Waverly Summer League varsity basketball action.

Waverly, which entered the week with one loss, dropped a seven-point (42-35) decision to Corning, and a five-point decision (38-33) to Towanda.

Athens is 3-5 after splitting a pair of decisions — beating Wyalusing, 56-45, and dropping a 55-32 decision to Wellsboro.

The final week of the regular season is set for Wednesday.
