THE VALLEY — Athens junior Connor Davidson accounted for five TDs in the Wildcats' season-opening romp over South Williamsport, while Athens sophomore Brooke Lyon tied her own school record at the Tyoga Country Club. They are the Valley Sports Report / Bishop Brothers Construction "Athletes of the Week" for the week ending Aug. 23.

ATHENS' DAVIDSON NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION BOYS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Davidson threw four TD pass, and ran for another score in Athens' Week 1 win.

Davidson completed 11 of 14 pass attempts for 199 yards and four TDs, with one interception. He also ran for 153 yards and one TD on 12 carries.

Davidson scored the first TD of the game on a 20-yard run, then added TD passes of 13 and 6 yards in the first half, and had a 70-yard TD pass nullified by a penalty. He capped his night with scoring passes of 59 and 43 yards in the second half.

Honorable Mentions: Athens' James Friend (football), Athens' Ty Owen (golf), Athens' Eli Hicks (golf), and Athens' Brady Flynn (football).

ATHENS' LYONS NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION GIRLS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Lyons matched her own school record, set last year, with a round of 85 at Wellsboro's Tyoga Country Club.

Lyons played 1-over on the four par-3s, including three pars, and recorded a birdie on the par-4 15th hole.
