STAC BOYS GOLF: WAVERLY FALLS TO NORWICH IN SEASON-OPENER (24 PHOTOS) (2025-08-26) Valley Sports Report WAVERLY — Norwich had four golfers shoot 45 or better in a season-opening 219-239 win over Waverly here Tuesday afternoon in STAC boys golf action at Shepard Hills.
Sophomore Griff Walter led Waverly with a 43, while junior Daniel Fischer carded a 46, and senior Mac Talada and Tammo Bruns each shot rounds of 49.
Sophomore Daniel Brady added a 52 for the Wolverines, and freshman Landon Munn tacked on a non-scoring round of 60.
Brevin Bennett earned low-medal honors for Norwich with a 40, while Matthew Brunick shot a 42, and Charlie Smith and Gavin Burrell each carded rounds of 45.
Waverly returns to action Wednesday at Windsor.
