NTL VOLLEYBALL: WELLSBORO FIGHTS OFF THIRD-SET RALLY TO FINISH SWEEP OF SAYRE (2025-08-29)

SAYRE — Wellsboro fought off a Sayre rally in the third set to complete a 3-0 sweep here Thursday night in NTL volleyball action.

The Hornets won by scores of 25-17, 25-11, and 26-24.

Junior Yhale Done led Sayre with 10 setter assists, three kills, and two digs, while freshman Lilliana Schack had four service aces, four kills, three assists, and five digs, and senior Rylee Lantz registered eight kills and one block.

Sophomore Reghan McGaughey had three aces, two kills, two assists, and nine digs for the Redskins, while senior Alex Schack added three aces and two digs, Grace Russo chipped in with two kills and three digs.

JV: Wellsboro swept the JV match by scores of 25-12 and 25-23.
