THE VALLEY — The 2025 fall season shifts into supersonic mode with one of the busiest weeks ever in the Valley.

There are 44 events on the docket this week, including 12 on Tuesday, eight on Saturday, and seven each on Monday and Thursday.

The following are all of the home varsity events this week, and a few of the notable road events:

MONDAY (7)
•  Waverly hosts Elmira in its first-ever girls tennis team match.

•  Tioga volleyball hosts Watkins Glen.

•  Tioga boys soccer hosts arch-rival Newark Valley on the pitch at Haggerty Field.

•  The Waverly boys host Tioga County rival Owego on the links at Shepard Hills.

TUESDAY (12)
•  The Waverly girls host Chenango Forks in STAC swimming action.

•  Athens cross country hosts NTL Large School rival Wellsboro at Round Top Park.

•  Sayre hosts CV and Canton in an NTL cross country meet at the new Riverfront Park course.

•  Tioga cross country opens its season at O-M.

•  Waverly hosts Oneonta on the volleyball hardwoods.

•  Waverly hosts Windsor under the lights on the pitch at Memorial Stadium.

WEDNESDAY (4)
•  The Athens girls travel to Troy for a key divisional soccer match.

THURSDAY (7)
•  Tioga volleyball hosts Trumansburg.

•  The Athens golfers are at Towanda in a battle of the top two teams in the NTL.

•  Waverly hosts Seton Catholic in a STAC boys soccer clash.

FRIDAY (6)
•  Unbeaten Athens hosts Troy on the gridiron at Alumni Stadium.

•  Waverly football is on the road at Windsor.

•  Sayre football is at Cowanesque Valley looking for its first win of 2025.  

•  Waverly hosts Tioga County rival Owego under the lights in a girls soccer clash at Memorial Stadium.

•  Tioga hosts O-M on the boys soccer pitch at Haggerty Field.

SATURDAY (8)
•  Tioga football is on the road at Deposit-Hancock.

•  Tioga hosts its annual Tioga Volleyball Tournament.

•  Sayre volleyball hosts non-league foe Galeton.

•  Athens boys soccer hosts Galeton.

•  Athens volleyball hosts non-league fie Abington Heights.

•  The Waverly boys visit Tioga County rival Owego for a soccer match-up.
