NTL CROSS COUNTRY: SAYRE'S JUNIOR HIGH NUMBERS UP AS REBUILD CONTINUES (2025-09-09)
Valley Sports ReportSAYRE — The Sayre varsity cross country team has just two runners in 2025, but there is hope on the horizon.
"Our numbers are better," said Sayre coach Doug Ault. "The junior high boys have a full team and, hopefully, will be competitive."
Junior Glenn VanBenthuysen is the only experienced runner returning, and freshman Jayden Sinsabaugh is the only newcomer.
"I look for Glenn VanBenythusen to continue to improve and make an impact on being a top runner in the NTL," said Ault.
"Jayden Sinsabaugh is a freshman who has begun to learn how to be a dedicated runner," added Ault.
ON THE NTL: "The NTL will have lots of great determined runners," said Ault. "My hope is to work hard to compete with them."
