NTL GOLF: OWEN PACES ATHENS IN WINS OVER CANTON, CV (2025-09-09)
Valley Sports ReportWESTFIELD, Pa. — Sophomore Ty Owen shot even-par to lead Athens to wins over Canton and Cowanesque Valley here Monday in NTL golf action at the River Valley Golf Course.
Athens carded a four-player aggregate score of 159, while Cowanesque Valley shot a 183, and Canton shot 186.
Owen fired a 36, while junior Lucas Grenninger shot a 39, and junior Eli Hicks carded a 40.
Freshman Jacob Saxon added a 44 for the Wildcats, while sophomore Brooke Lyon and Peter Bertsch had non-scoring rounds of 45 and 52, respectively.
Reed Taylor led Canton with a 44, and Danny Smith paced CV with a 45.
Athens travels to Towanda Thursday.
