VALLEY SPORTS REPORT: ATHENS' FISHER, TIOGA'S FEEKO NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION 'ATHLETES OF THE WEEK' (2025-09-15)

THE VALLEY — Athens junior Zach Fisher had a big week on the pitch and the gridiron for the Wildcats, while senior RaeAnne Feeko was a driving force for Tioga volleyball's perfect week. They are the Valley Sports Report / Bishop Brothers Construction "Athletes of the Week," for the week ending Sept. 13.

ATHENS' FISHER NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION BOYS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Zach Fisher posted three shutouts in net for the Athens soccer team, and kicked three field goals for the football team.

Fisher was 3-for-3 on field goal attempts, splitting the up rights from 29, 21 and 22 yards. He was 2-for-3 on extra-point attempts, and had two kick-offs into the end zones for touchbacks.

On the pitch, Fisher did not allow a goal in three games. He faced three shots-on-goal in the three wins, which means the defense in front of him gets a shout-out as well.

TIOGA'S FEEKO NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION GIRLS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Feeko had a strong week in helping Tioga to a 3-0 record — all sweeps — and a first-place finish at the Tioga Tournament.

Feeko led Tioga with 11 points, 13 setter assists, one block, and three digs in a sweep of Watkins Glen, then had four service points, 13 setter assists, and one block in a sweep of Dryden.

Feeko had eight points, 10 assists, 10 digs and two blocks in sweep of Trumansburg, and was one of the top performers Saturday in the title run at the Tioga Tournament.
