STAC GIRLS TENNIS: BINGHAMTON SWEEPS PAST WAVERLY (2025-09-15)
Valley Sports ReportBINGHAMTON — Binghamton swept the fledgeling Waverly team here Monday afternoon in a 7-0 decision in STAC girls tennis action.
“Our girls showed real grit today, not giving up on any of their shots," said Waverly coach Ron Chamberlain. "They played some close points and games, but fell short in the set count.
"Experiences like this are what motivates players to analyze and adjust their games," he added. "I am sure will emerge stronger from it.”
Freshman Aubrey Everson was the only Wolverine to win a game Monday, dropping her decision 6-0 and 6-2.
Seniors Keratin Stout and Ava Witman, and junior Sofia Storelli each lost 6-0, 6-0.
Waverly, now 0-3, returns to action Friday at Vestal.
