CHEMUNG — The newly-minted Waverly Recreation travel volleyball teams hosted Athens in their first-ever matches recently here at the Chemung School gymnasium.

In "A" team action, Athens swept Waverly by scores of 25-14, 25-20, and 15-7.

In the "B" team match, Athens swept Waverly by scores of 25-4, 25-21, and 15-13/

Waverly's next home match is Wednesday against Towanda.
