NTL VOLLEYBALL: DIVISION-LEADING WILLIAMSON TOPS SAYRE IN HARD-FOUGHT SWEEP (2025-09-26)
Valley Sports ReportSAYRE — Division-leading Williamson delivered a big blow to Sayre's NTL Small School volleyball title hopes with a hard-fought sweep here Thursday night.
The Warriors won by scores of 26-24, 25-20, and 25-21.
Williamson improves to 8-1 overall and 5-0 in divisional play, while Sayre falls to 5-4 overall, and 5-2 in divisional play. Wyalusing (8-2) is in second place at 4-1.
Senior Rylee Lantz led Sayre with three service aces, 12 kills, four blocks, and three digs, while freshman Lilliana Schack had four aces, two kills, and 14 digs, junior Yhale Doon recorded 17 setter assists and nine digs.
Sophomore Reghan McGaughey had two aces, eight kills and 16 digs for the Redskins, while junior Alex Schack had three aces and four digs, sophomore Grace Russo had five digs, sophomore Emily Strickland added two blocks, and Azalea McClenny chipped in with one block.
Sayre won the JV match, 2-1.
