NTL VOLLEYBALL: ATHENS SWEEPS SELINSGROVE TO SNAP SIX-GAME LOSING STREAK (24 PHOTOS) (2025-09-27)
Valley Sports ReportATHENS — Athens snapped a six-game losing streak with a sweep of Selinsgrove here Saturday afternoon in non-league volleyball action.
The Wildcats, now 2-8, won by scores of 25-12, 25-15, and 25-5.
"It was a total team effort today," said Athens coach Heather Darrow. 'I'm proud of the girls for finding a way."
Sophomore Ellie Mosher led Athens with 12 kills, 10 digs, and two service aces, while freshman Kayla Forbes recoded 11 digs, and sophomore Lainey Vosburgh had five digs and six serve-receives.
Junior Hannah Parrish had five kills and seven digs in the win, while junior Emma Mallare and junior Ella Raynor registered six and five kills, respectively.
Sophomore Kendall Galasso added two kills and five digs for the Wildcats, and junior Meg Wiles chipped in with three kills.
Athens returns to action Tuesday at Towanda.
