NTL FOOTBALL: SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT ROLLS TO 47-6 WIN OVER SAYRE (2025-10-04)

SAYRE — South Williamsport raced out to a 34-0 halftime lead en route to a 47-6 win over Sayre here Friday night in NTL Small School Division football action at the Lockhart Street Bowl.

The Mounties had 248 yards in total offense, including 232 rushing yards, while the Redskins were held to 38 yards.

Garrett Larson scored on a 5-yard run just four minutes into the game, and Cade Lush added a 6-yard TD run late in the opening stanza. Kaiden Paulhamus added PAT kicks after both scores to give the Mounties a 14-0 lead.

Eli White scored on a 1-yard TD run early in the second quarter to make it 20-0.

Lusk scored on a 10-yard run, and Lorson broke loose on a 40-yard scoring run in a  2 1/2-minute span to give South Williamsport a 34-0 lead with 3:17 remaining in the first half.

White scored on a 22-yard run in the third quarter, and Cole Gerber tossed a 2-yard TD pass to Levi Butler early in the fourth quarter to stretch the advantage to 47-0.

Sayre broke up the shutout on a 4-yard TD run by junior Declan Barry with 54 seconds remaining in the contest.

Lusk led South with 86 yards and two TDs on five carries, while White had 78 yards and two TDs on eight carries, and Larson had 70 yards and two TDs on five carries.

Gerber completed 11 of 16 passes for 173 yards, one TD and two interceptions. Butler led South's receivers with five grabs for 70 yards and one TD.

Barry completed 2 of 4 passes for 40 yards and one interception.

Sayre, now 0-7, returns to action Friday at Towanda.
