HICKS, SHAW NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION BOYS "ATHLETES OF THE WEEK"Hicks qualified for the PIAA, Class 3A Golf Championships for the second year in a row with a two-day total of 152 for a second-place finish.
Hicks led after a Day 1 round of 74 at White Deer Golf Course, and followed it up with a 78 on Day 2 at the Williamsport Country Club.
Shaw was a standout on both sides of the ball in Waverly's 28-20 win over Maine-Endwell. Defensively, he had 15 tackles and a key interception.
Offensively, Shaw completed 12 of 19 passes for 123 yards, two TDs, and two interceptions, and also ran the ball 18 times for 66 yards, and one TD.

SAYRE'S DOON NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION GIRLS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"Doon averaged 17 setter assists and 10 digs in three matches for the Redskins this week.
Doon led Sayre with 11 setter assists and eight digs in a four-set loss to Troy Tuesday, then had 17 assists, one block, and 13 digs in a 3-0 loss to Towanda Thursday.
On Saturday, Doon led Sayre with five service aces, 22 setter assists, and nine digs in a sweep of Hanover Area.
