IAC VOLLEYBALL: TIOGA COMEBACK FALLS SHORT IN FIVE-SET THRILLER AT WHITNEY POINT (20 PHOTOS) (2025-10-15)

WHITNEY POINT — Tioga battled back from a 2-0 deficit, but Whitney Point dominated the decisive fifth set here Wednesday night in IAC Large School Division volleyball action.

The Golden Eagles won the first two sets by scores of 25-18 and 25-23, but the Tigers bounced back to even the match with wins of 25-22 and 27-25.

Whitney Point won the fifth set, 15-4.

Senior RaeAnne Feeko led Tioga with 18 points, 15 setter assists, three blocks, and seven digs, while senior Audi Zorn had 11 points, nine kills, four blocks, and four digs, and junior Jade Keaty had seven points and five digs.

Senior Lilly Mezzatesta had five points (two aces), nine kills and 15 digs for the Tigers, while senior Alyson Chamberlain had three points, four assists, and nine digs, and Lydiah Decker recorded 16 digs.

Sophomore Vida Rossi registered nine kills and seven digs for Tioga, while junior Vanessa Tunnicliff had two kills, five blocks, and eight assists, and junior Peyton Black added three kills and five blocks.

Tioga, now 10-3, returns to action Friday at Newark Valley.

JV — Tioga 2, Whitney Point 0: The Tigers swept the junior varsity match by scores of 25-20 and 25-14. Tioga also won an exhibition set, 25-18.

Briana Lounsbury led Tioga with 10 points, including seven aces, seven kills, and six digs, while Kate Kithcart had two points, 18 assists, and four digs, and Riley Butler had six points (three aces) and four kills.

Courtney Smith had seven kills and five digs in the win, while Lillie Harmatuk had five points (two aces), two kills and four digs, Aniya Amerman added two points, three kills and seven digs, and Bailey Delmage chipped in with two points.
