SECTION IV GIRLS SOCCER: TIOGA OPENS POSTSEASON AT HOME WEDNESDAY; WAVERLY ON THE ROAD OCT. 29 (2025-10-16)

Valley Sports Report
THE VALLEY — Tioga will open the upcoming Section IV playoffs at home next week, while Waverly will have a two-week lay-off before hitting the road for its postseason opener.

CLASS C
Tioga (7-6-1) is the eighth seed in the Class C bracket, and will host ninth-seed Marathon (8-5-1) Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at Haggerty Field.

The winner will travel to face top-seeded Trumansburg (12-0-1) on Oct. 25 at 3:30.

Notre Dame (8-2) is the second seed, while B-G (12-1) is seeded third, and Southern Cayuga (12-1-1) is the fourth seed.

The finals are set for Nov. 1 at Sidney High School.

CLASS A
Waverly, now 6-7-1, is the third seed and will travel to second-seeded Chenango Valley (9-3-2) in the Class A semifinals at Oct. 29 at 3:30 p.m.

At the top of the bracket, top-seed Maine-Endwell (9-2) will hots fourth-seed Seton Catholic (5-9-1).

The finals are set for Nov. 1 at Chenango Valley.
