THE VALLEY — Waverly travels to Owego with a chance to clinch the Section IV, Division III title, while Sayre hosts Canton for Homecoming at the Lockhart Street Bowl on "Football Saturday."

FOOTBALL
Waverly (6-0, 3-0 Div. III) at Owego (4-2, 1-1), 1 p.m.:
The Wolverines are coming off a 28-20 win over Maine-Endwell, while the River Hawks edged Windsor, 10-7.

Waverly has outscored its opponents this season by an average of 29.3 to 15.1 points per game, while Owego has outscored its foes by an average of 17.7 to 8.1 points per game.

The Wolverines have featured a balanced offense that produces 271.9 yards in total offense, with 138.7 coming on the ground, and 133.2 through the air.

Cooper Robinson has rushed for 507 yards and six TDs, and has four catches for 129 yards and two TDs, while senior Daltton Davis has 16 catches for 345 yards (21.6 yards per catch) and two TDs.

Junior QB Ben Shaw has completed 64 percent (48 of 75) of his passes for 799 yards, seven TDs and four interceptions, and has also run for 215 yards and five TDs.

Canton (1-7) at Sayre (0-8), 7 p.m. Homecoming: The Redskins are coming off a 43-14 loss at Towanda, while the Warriors dropped a 49-7 decision at Wellsboro.

Sayre has been outscored by an average of 47 to 4.3 points per game this season, while Canton has been outscored 37.8 to 11.8.

Injuries have taken a toll on both teams.
