IAC VOLLEYBALL: TIOGA HANDS CANDOR FIRST LOSS IN REGULAR-SEASON FINALE (2025-10-20)

CANDOR — Tioga handed Candor its first loss of the season here Monday night with a sweep of its longtime rival in the regular-season finale of IAC volleyball campaign.

The Tigers, now 12-4, won by scores of 25-23, 25-18, and 26-24.

Senior Alyson Chamberlain led Tioga with 15 service points, 11 setter assists, and four digs, while senior RaeAnne Feeko had seven kills, three blocks, 13 assists, and two digs, and senior Audi Zorn had six points, three kills, four blocks, and six digs.

Sophomore Vida Rossi had six points, three kills, and four digs in the win, while senior Lilly Mezzatesta had two points, 12 kills, and 12 digs, Lydiah Decker had four points and 11 digs, Mary Divers added three points, two kills, and three digs, and senior Mail Hall chipped in with three blocks and two digs.

Candor, now 13-1, was led by Emmi Makie's triple-double of 16 points (three aces), 11 kills, and 12 digs, while Nicola Soper had 12 points, including seven aces, eight kills, and four digs, and Malley Heidl added 16 assists and four digs.

The Tigers now await word on the upcoming Section IV, Class C playoffs, while Candor takes on Newfield Friday night in the IAC Small School Championship match at Tompkins-Cortland Community College.

JV — Tioga 2, Candor 1: Tioga also handed Candor its first loss of the season in the junior varsity match, winning the first set 25-15 and the third set 25-19. In between, Candor won the second set, 25-20.

Kate Kithcart led Tioga with four points — all aces, 16 assists, and four digs, while Lizie Seck had seven points (six aces), three kills, and five digs, Brianna Lounsbury had six points, six kills, and 11 digs, and Courtney Smith had six kills and six digs.

Kaylynne Miller had three kills and six assists in the win, while Bailey Delmage had seven points, Aniya Amerman had two points, three kills, and two digs, Kendra Hale added two points, and Lillie Harmatuk chipped in with two digs.
